Overview

Murchison falls national park is the oldest and the largest national park in the Pearl of Africa – Uganda. It is one of the few national parks in East Africa where all the big five animals (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and buffalo) can be seen.

Murchison falls national park offers one of the best tourism activities in the country and the region as a whole characterized by a visit on the top and bottom of the falls, bungee jumping, white water rafting, boat cruise, bird watching, game drives, to mention but a few.

The three day safari to Murchison falls national parks starts with pick-up from Kampala city, driving the 324 kilometer road, passing by the magical Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, spending a night, game drive into deeper parts of the park, visiting the falls and then return to Kampala and departure on the third day.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After a delicious morning breakfast at your hotel or lodge, you will be picked up by our professional driver / guide who will brief you about the three day trip to Murchison falls national park and then embark on the journey to the park. Along the way, you will branch off and drive the 7 km road to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and have an insight into one of the big five animals – rhinoceros. The experience is worth the time.

Continue to the park and check in to any lodge of your choice for dinner relaxation and overnight

Day 2: Morning game drive, launch cruise and visit to top of the falls

After an early morning breakfast, our guide will lead you to the amazing morning game drive through the savannah plains of the great Murchison falls national park. It is from here that you get opportunities to see quite a number of animal and bird species such as lions, antelopes, ducks, herons, skimmers, to mention but a few.

Return to your lodge for lunch before embarking on the afternoon launch cruise at the Nile River that takes to the bottom of falls and see more water birds and other aquatic animals like crocodiles and hippopotamuses.

Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and spend a night

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala – departure

After an early morning breakfast, get in touch with your driver and transfer back to Kampala city. If time becomes your best friend, you can take some time and drive around Kampala city and see quite a number of things such as Kasubi tombs, Uganda museum, Nakasero market, etc.

Drive to Entebbe International airport and board a plane back home hence the climax of the three day trip to Murchison Falls National Park.
